Raymond Lee will now be starring in the reboot of this hugely popular series from the 80s and 90s. The music was so great together with inspirational themes. Raymond will take up the role of Dr. Ben Seong a new doctor, said to be the successor to the original Dr. Sam Beckett – who stepped into the Quantum Leap accelerator and vanished.
The original “Quantum Leap” aired for five seasons on NBC from 1989-1993. Scott Bakula starred as Dr. Sam Beckett, who found himself leaping from life to life, striving to put right what once went wrong. Dean Stockwell co-starred with Scott Bakula as Al, an observer from Dr. Sam Beckett’s own time who appeared in the form of a hologram that only he (Sam) could see and hear, together with cute animals and kids! Stockwell passed away in November 2021 at the age of 85.
Sam has now been missing for 30 year and the associated series reboot sounds like a great storyline to build on. Also, some great continuity in the form of “Quantum Leap” creator Donald P. Bellisario who will serve as an executive producer via Belisarius Productions. There’s lots more on recent cast announcements here.
